The Elba Animal Control Officer answers several calls each month.  Animal Control service calls include reporting animal bites to the Health Department, apprehending stray dogs or other dangerous animals and providing traps on an at-loan basis for the entrapment of nuisance animals.  The Animal Control Officer works diligently to protect the citizens of the city from such pests and serves with distinction.  The Animal Control Officer oversees the The Elba Animal Shelter  which adopts pets that are abandoned.
